Amplify Studio’s Artist-in-Residency program will provide conditions for an open and carefully considered artistic work. This can involve individual studio work, reflecting about artistic expression or researching for upcoming projects, or new site specific work. Residents will get the opportunity to create new personal and professional contacts while also networking within the local arts community. The residency’s activities can in part be public, and include lectures, artist talks, open studio events, or presentations of work in progress.
Residents will have access to a fully operating and equipped photographic studio, a black-and-white darkroom, computers and editing software, photographic printers, as well as exhibition space within Amplify Studio’s gallery. Residencies will take place over a two-month period, and applications will open quarterly throughout the year. In specific circumstances residencies can be extended by an extra month.
